En ingles cuando comparamos dos cosas usamos los adjetivos y sus tres grados: positivo, comparativo y superlativo.

The past continuos describe what was in progress at a spesific moment in the past.
Use the past continuos to describe a past scence.
EXAMPLE:Marianne was thalking whit thw landford. She was standing by the windows and pointing at the air conditioner.

*Uso del auxiliar could : una posibilidad en el pasado o una habilidad nosotros usamos el auxiliar could pra hablar aserca que fue posible dicha accion en el pasado. ademas nosotros eramos capazes de hacer o realizar libremente. nosotros el auxiliar could (positivo) y couldn't (negativo). para una habilidad en general que ocurrio en pasado.
